No. You must be a team of not less than 2 members. Either your team has a business idea that you are building a startup for, or you have an established startup not more than 2 years old.

Your team must be citizens in one of the 19 African countries mentioned in the Eligibility Criteria, which are: Algeria, Angola, Cameron, Chad, Côte d'Ivoire, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Egypt, Ghana, Malawi,  Madagascar, Mauritania, Namibia, Niger, Nigeria, Rwanda, South Africa, Togo, The Gambia, Uganda.

You have to submit a link to your working prototype or product in the registration form.

Yes you don't have to submit an existing startup. You can choose "Team" in the registration form and apply. However, you must submit a working prototype link for your idea.

Your application will be reviewed and you will receive a reply after the registration closes if your startup/team was selected for next phases or not.

Full details will be communicated to the team focal point to start your visa process to come to Egypt and attend pitching finals at RiseUP Summit on 7th of December 2019. 2 of your team members will be invited.

No. Travel and accommodation are fully covered for 2 members of your team.

The submitted applications as well as pitching will be judged on the 4 following areas

1. Innovation Originality/Creativity
2. Business Model
3. Art and/or Design of the Game/App
4. Team Competencies.

• An acceleration program for selected startups who will be invited to pitch at RiseUP Summit 2019.
• Cash prize with a total of $60k for six winners, divided as follows, per each track:
  1. $15k for the first
  2. $10k for the second
  3. $5k for the third
• Full participation at RiseUp Summit 2019 in Cairo, Egypt with a branded booth.
• Certified Training Grants for all team members of the startups/teams through the AAL initiative.
